A tip for tuning your new Ukulele:Are you finding your new ukulele always needs tuning every time you want to play it? This is really common, particularly with new strings. Nylon strings take a certain amount of stretching before they settle down and hold their tune. How to solve:Tune it to the desired note, then pull up on the string over the sound hole to give it a bit of a stretch. That'll take it down about 2 whole notes, tune it back up and repeat until it stays in tune. A lot of folks who maybe aren't used to stringed instruments, especially nylon strings, get frustrated, but don't worry, these are decent strings, they just need a good stretch! |

Very Nice Intro Ukulele with Bag and Strap
I have been teaching myself to play on a Diamondhead mahogany 24" concert beginner ukulele, which actually has a very nice sound for the price. We had bought it for our son in 2017 but he stopped playing for a while, so I picked it up and have enjoyed learning to play. I was looking for a padded gig bag and maybe a strap kit to add to the ukulele, and came across this bundle. I decided to try it and have been very pleased with it. Although it's the same length as the Diamondhead, the strings are slightly further apart which makes it a bit easier to learn to play. It has a pleasant sound, although the low C string sounds noticeably different from the Diamondhead. Maybe it's not yet fully in tune. :) I love the sturdy padded bag, which has a handy zipper compartment, and the colorful strap that came along with it, and the picks. The strap is very useful so that I don't have to worry about holding onto the instrument and can therefore learn to do different strumming techniques more easily. The strings play easily too. I'd recommend this bundle for anyone seeking to learn to play the ukulele.

HOLA, HOLA (Handcrafted, Optimal, Light, Affordable) UKULELE

That acronymic description in my title is not just my personal opinion and experience. As I join the Five-Star Ranks with all the other satisfied buyers, I can truthfully say that everything is as described in the online reviews I read before deciding to make my purchase. Great customer service and follow-up (e-mails for customer satisfaction and offers for lessons). Speedy delivery. Optimal quality of make and sound. Although there are a number of choices to choose from, mine (pictured above) is the "Concert" size ukulele in mahogany color, with attractive details in the design features. Separate handles and adjustable strap on the tote bag, which is in one of my personal favorite colors ~ khaki green ~ with a zipped compartment on the front for the three picks included. The festively-colored ukulele strap ~ also included in the purchase ~ is also adjustable (as all straps should be). Having been self-taught on guitar chords, this little baby will be a cinch to handle and master. The best feature of all ~ this was much more affordable than what I originally expected to find for a quality this good. As I get it tuned up to practice some of my favorite tunes and JOriginal songs, I will most likely not want to say, "Adios" to my HOLA ;-D
