I love the door bell activating motion sensor light. Not really much of a light producer but I placed it in a downward position above the sliding porch door. Excellent position for my purpose as it does not give me false triggers and rings only when someone enters the enclosed porch. ( In real time Amazon package delivery notification. 🙂) I placed it high enough to be out of the way but I can still easily reach the on/ off slider on the flip side of the light if I plan to be working outside and coming in and out frequently. The doorbell fits perfectly between the screen and glass door of my slider. It came set on a pleasing ding dong and I found no need to explore other options now.

I bought both the AcePoint 2-in-1 Wireless Doorbell Motion sensor and AcePoint Night Light Series for my house that has both a front door and back door. Since I have both mail and packages delivered to my house by delivery personnel who don't notify with a ring or knock, I wanted to add a motion sensor for the front door so that I could be notified. These systems are good in producing a solid chime from the door bell buttons and motion sensor but the chime receivers would only play one of the chime selections for all three of the transmitters (both door buttons and the motion sensor). So there was no way for me to distinguish which door button was depressed or if the motion sensor was responding.

Although the pairing directions included in the packages indicate a separate chime could be chosen for different transmitters; this was not the case. I contacted the SadoTech Technical Support who researched the problem and they confirmed my findings. Although the AcePoint series will not meet my needs for my house, I did find Technical Support responsive and eager to assist. I asked them for recommendations which would suit my needs and they provided me with two options.

Resolution: Following the recommendations, I purchased SadoTech's Crosspoint series which addressed my needs where I now use three different chimes: one for the front door, one for the back door, and one for the motion sensor. Fortunately for me, I also have another property where the AcePoint will work perfectly

I bought this product to solve the problem of my dog being let outside and no one knowing when she was at the backdoor to be let in. Instead of constantly checking to see if she was waiting to be let inside or standing at the backdoor while she wanders the yard, I figured this would be a little more efficient. At less than $30, what was there to lose?

This product works perfectly! The motion sensor was easy to mount above the backdoor and was automatically paired with the plug-in receiver. Now when my dog walks up to the backdoor, everyone in the house hears the chime and knows she's at the backdoor.

As an added benefit, my dog no longer barks incessantly or tears up the screen door when she's outside waiting to be let in.

Up until a few days ago, I would have given this product 5 stars. But, after less than a year of use, it has stopped working. Since none of the features of the base unit work, I am guessing it is a power supply problem. I have just contacted the seller about a replacement and will update this review once I get a reply.

I contacted Sado customer support and they responded promptly. The defective product was no longer available, but I opted to take an alternate product rather than the 40% credit they offered. The new product arrived and is working satisfactorily. I was able to pair the new receiver with the old transmitter so that I can still use as intended.

Sadly, the replacement unit that was sent has also stopped working. Poor quality. I would not recommend buying.

You can't beat these for the price, especially if you want a more conventional doorbell. I looked all over and, unless I was willing to pay a ridiculous price, was only seeing buttons that looked like they belonged in-front of an elevator, at a hospital or outside a dorm room. These were paired out of the box, but we also bought the standard doorbell set, so we did a bit of reconfiguring.

The setup was simple and resetting after mistakenly pairing a motion sensor with a unit was simple. I could have stood with a label near the button on the receiver stating functionality (i.e., "Light", "Pairing"), especially when the buttons are slightly different on the mobile receiver than the plug-in one, but it's only a minor complaint and one that's easily rendered moot with the instruction pamphlet.

The ringers are varied and have a lot of conventional tones and even some musical ones. With the motion sensors, we have found ourselves wanting a quicker, shorter tone that it simply doesn't have, but that's okay - they have a few that are softer even though they do repeat quite a few times. Beyond that, you can set the volume.

We've been so impressed with these we bought some upgrades. We now have three ringers, two motion sensors, three plug-in receivers and one mobile one. The only issue we had was with one of the plug-in receivers, but the company gladly replaced it. I'll continue to buy from them and recommend them to friends and family. For the price, they can't be beat in the functionality they provide and the ease of expansion.
