This is a very nice quality stand. Well made and simple to use. It is exactly what I was expecting and the price is reasonable. What really impressed me was the fact that this company followed their shipment with several emails to verify my receipt and satisfaction. A rarity today. Pleased that there are still companies out there that care after their product has been sold. Would suggest a bit nicer/stronger carrying case. The one that comes with it is a bit flimsy appearing. Don't think it will last as long as the music stand. I would be more than willing to pay a few more dollars for a higher quality case. I don't gig, but anyone who does will likely have short term issues with the case. I also have a Manhasset. I love it, but if I had purchased this first, I likely wouldn't have bought that one, because this one provides everything I need..... and..... this one is portable. Nice product 👍 Great follow up 👍👍

Sturdy and Stable

I bought this stand to replace a cheapo, very light weight portable stand that was constantly dumping my music on the floor, and so far it is working out quite well.

Delivery was very fast and the stand was as advertised. It is extremely stable and very close in size to a standard non-collapsible concert music stand and is quite capable of holding my concert folder or multiple exercise books without tipping or allowing music to slip out. Set up and take down is very fast and easy,

As you would expect, this stand does weigh a fair amount more, and even with its two piece table, it occupies a bit more space when folded, than does the usual spindly portable. However the vastly increased durability and functionality of this stand makes the slight size and weight trade off well worth it. I can just put my Hola stand along with my music, mutes, tuner and lunch into an old canvas carry all that I found, and I am quickly good to go anywhere.

One very small caveat. The two piece aluminum table that allows the Hola stand to be so light weight and portable will not take as much abuse as a one piece steel table and should be treated with a bit of care. I pad the two pieces by wrapping an old towel between and around the two parts to give the table a bit of protection and have had no problems.

I use this as a portable desk because I can adjust the angle. I have a cervical/spine issue and it helps me to be able to write/read in class without pain.
It's very light weight and easy to assemble. I can carry it around campus without much trouble. It takes about a minute or two to set up. The carrying case is a bit ripped after two semesters, but it still works. I've been using it every day and I've dropped it quite a few times, I'm surprised it's holding up quite well.
I know it's not intended for this purpose, but I've had a hard time trying to find something that helped me and this is it. So if you are in a similar situation, I'd recommend you try this. It's a fair price too.
It doesn't tip over easily. When I write I put the weight of my arm, I mean I lean on it and it's never tipped over even though it's set at an angle.

**Update after 2 years. The first one broke at the knob/screw part. I was sent a replacement screw, but I haven't had time to try it out. I'll comment later on that.

I bought the new one that is in two parts. For the purpose I use it for it's better because it's a bit lighter. Since it folds, the bag is half the size as before which is better too. I still recommend this product.

There should be a wheeled carrying bag option. Also, if the tripod could be lighter without losing stability that would be best.

Amazing quality for the price + a great carrying case

When I purchased this I was expecting a light duty stand, but this is as sturdy as the much more expensive Belmonte Orchestra Stand that I also own. The dimensions of both are almost identical.

The only key difference between the Belmonte and this is you cannot use the shelf as a tabletop stand like you can with the Belmonte model. That's because the shelf on this one is designed for quick breakdown of the stand. It has a thumbscrew and attaches to the stand itself using mating parts similar to a flash shoe on an SLR camera.

This completely stores in the carrying bag that comes with it. The stand is stored in an angular pocket in the bag and the shelf is a perfect fit too. In fact you even have room to put sheet music in the bag (it holds a Realbook). To be honest the bag is a little on the light side, but the seams are well done and the zipper looks as though it will last with proper care. The overall dimensions of the bag are 24 x 18 x 4 inches.

If you are gigging or carrying a stand to rehearsals this one is perfect for either task. Don't let the low price fool you - it has near the same quality as some of the big name stands.
