5 Fun ideas for childcare centers

Those of us who run child care centers are always looking for fun and safe activities for the children under our care. The best ideas are those that can be created on site so there is no need to transfer the kids to another location. This reduces travel risks and also the cost of providing these activities. With just a few items and some imagination, a whole lot of safe and fun activities can be created.

Here are a few ideas that may work for our centers.

With just an ordinary garden hose, a fun outdoor shower can be created to help the kids cool off during those hot weather days. This type of water time fun is much safer than any pool. All we need is an area that will allow the water to run off and the kids can have a blast playing in the shower. This Thirteen Chefs outdoor shower has a stable base that is free standing. The height can be raised or lowered so we can make it the right size for the kids. The aluminum body is sturdy enough to be left up if we like, or it can be taken down quickly and easily.
If there is one thing for certain about every little kid, they love to see science in action. This is especially true when they can participate in the fun. With this food grade water siphon, all we need is a bucket of water and we can have a science demonstration. The materials are food grade safe so no issues if the kids touch this hose or siphon. There is a hand pump to make the fluid move. There is even a filter to remove sediment, which could be part of our ‘science demonstration’.
We can use this siphon tubing for our pump siphon and have the water travel further distances. Because the tube is clear, it is a great opportunity to use food coloring within the pumped water and have them watch the colors move along the tube.
Kids love to swing and while they can have this fun outside with swing sets, having an indoor swing is best.  This will let them enjoy this activity even when it is raining outside. This swing is great for all kids, but provides much needed stimulation for those kids who have sensory issues. It is made from a comfortable lycra material that is very soft but durable. This swing can hold up to 77 pounds.
Do you know what is better than an indoor swing? Two indoor swings. More than one swing would be ideal for a larger group of children. Depending on their size it might be possible for two children to share one swing. This swing can handle up to 165 pounds.

With just a few items and our imagination, we can make all sorts of fun and adventure at our center. The kids will enjoy it and the staff will have fun interacting with the kids in these new and interesting ways.

Being in construction for years or as a startup can be challenging and lucrative. Having the right heavy equipment can make a big difference in how fast and effective you are. Given all the heavy construction machinery out there, be sure to buy and take care of the right pieces of equipment you need to operate. Not doing so can set your construction business back and give the competition a leg up on you. Without the proper equipment, it stands to reason you will have a hard time completing jobs. Even with the right equipment in place, never take your eye off the need for safety.

Construction job injuries, unfortunately, happen all too often. This is oftentimes due to cutting corners, not taking care of equipment, and so on. Such injuries can range from minor to serious and even lead to deaths at times. Mishaps can be falls, equipment malfunction or improper use, electrocutions, and more. That said, always be safe on the job and review your equipment often to make sure it is properly working.
