Games for Childcare centers

Childcare centers are important for families because we look after children when parents are not available. As such we, need to make sure we are meeting the needs for the fundamental development of children. Games are a great way to help children learn from play. They can help a child develop mentally and physically by providing fun challenges. By choosing certain tools and supplies we can make sure that the children under our care are stimulated in proper health and growth.

Here are some great choices for games and play for the children in our centers.

Here is a fun game we can create for the kids in our center. The classic Tiki Toss game has a solid ring suspended by a string that is swung so it hangs upon a hook. This is a DIY kit that will allow us to modify the game to suit the ages of the kids in our care. All we need is for the hook to be installed on a backdrop. Then we will suspend the ring either on a pole or hanging from the ceiling. The kids will swing the ring and try to catch it on the hook. This is a great game for kids to develop hand and eye coordination.

Another great game for developing coordination is ping pong,  This set includes the paddles and balls. All we need is a table and a net to play. We can use a regular table, or we can set up any table for the game. We can use an official net, or just string some rope to act as a virtual net. Kids of all ages will love to play with these paddles and balls. The rackets have crack resistant handles that will not splinter. The balls are 40 mm of thick and durable ABS material. These will hold up to indoor or outdoor play.

Here is a fun item for lower light conditions. This glow in the dark football features a bright LED light that will glow for up to 30 hours. It is impact activated and automatically shuts off when not in use. The ball is water resistant as well. This can make a great outdoor play toy, or it can be used inside and light up in darkened rooms.

These gymnastic rings are a great addition to our center’s gym. They have textured grips to help eliminate slipping. These are built tough and can hold up to 1000 pounds. We can suspend them from ceiling supports, but they will also work well in a doorway with a chin up bar to support them. The straps that come with the kit are just wrapped around a secure bar. The 17 foot straps allow plenty of length for us to adjust to the proper height. Great for helping kids enjoy fun while getting stronger.

With these rings on a strong support, kids can practice pull ups and also just hang and swing. These have 15 foot straps to allow variable height. The diameter of the rings are 9.25 inches and they are made of a non-slip plastic. These are sturdy and will hold up 200 kgs of weight. The grip is comfortable and the design is portable. We can use a chin up bar in a doorway.   With this stable support we can put up these rings in less than 5 minutes and take them down when we need.
