5 great choices for a standing desk station

Standing desk stations are a great choice for those of us with back issues or for those who want to improve their health with less sitting. A typical desk that is designed with sitting in mind will not easily convert to what we need in a standing position. Optimally a standing desk should be able to allow the option of a seated position as well in order to prevent user fatigue. It should be functional and attractive and offer the user all the things of a typical traditional desk, just with the option of standing when we desire it.

There are several choices for a standing desk which gives us great options.

If style is key and we are looking for a custom desktop, this TechOrbits frame will provide a motorized base. It will adjust in width between 39 to 63 inches, which allows quite a bit of flexibility in our choice of tabletop to add to this stand. It has a universal desk mount, so whether we are standing or sitting, the monitors will always be exactly where we need them. They will move with the height of the tabletop. These mounts also free up the desktop space, allowing extra room for the computer and other peripherals. These mounts can easily be turned or tilted in whatever direction we need for maximum visibility. The gas springs and heavy duty aluminum construction will hold up to 20 pounds per arm.
Another great addition to a standing desk is this under desk tray. It clamps onto the desktop and will raise and lower with the desktop height. At 27 inches wide, this will easily hold both keyboard and mouse. The drawer will fit all desks 32 inches or wider. With a track mounted design, this will allow access to the keyboard when we need, but also slide out of the way under the desk when we want.

No longer do we have to choose between a sitting or a standing desk. With these options it will be easy for us to combine the benefits of standing and sitting together in one great desk design. These choices are suitable for home or office spaces and will make a great addition to any office environment.
